About The Position

As a Senior Scientist in the Biophysics team, you will design and execute advanced protein biochemistry experiments to characterize vaccine antigen candidates. You will support antigen selection and rational vaccine design through investigation of antigenic surfaces, epitope mapping, conformation, and stability, including thermostability measurements. You will analyze, interpret, and communicate complex experimental datasets to inform antigen generation and selection pipelines. The role partners with design, structural biology, immunology or immunogenicity, and antibody discovery teams to integrate structural information with biochemical and biophysical data and advance vaccine candidates toward the clinic. It also contributes to site-specific projects, scientific presentations, literature evaluation, SOPs and other required documentation, and the maintenance and oversight of laboratory facilities and equipment.

Requirements

  • PhD in Biochemistry, Biophysics, Biotechnology, Immunology, Biomedical Sciences, or a related field.
  • At least 1 year of relevant postdoctoral research experience.
  • Knowledge of and hands-on experience with advanced analytical tools such as HPLC, SEC-MALS, DSF, DSC, BLI, and SPR.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
  • Results-oriented and data-driven approach; experience working in fast-moving and agile environments while maintaining a high degree of integrity.

Nice To Haves

  • Postdoctoral experience in protein production and characterization, or an equivalent discipline, is preferred.
  • Experience with protein purification and structural analysis, such as negative-stain EM, is preferred.
