Senior SAP Basis Engineer
About The Position
Bright Vision Technologies is seeking a seasoned SAP Basis / SAP Platform Engineer to architect, install, configure, tune, and operate complex SAP landscapes spanning on-premises, hybrid, and cloud-hosted environments. The role is responsible for keeping mission-critical SAP systems available, performant, secure, and compliant. The engineer will bring expertise in SAP NetWeaver, S/4HANA, HANA database administration, system copies, upgrades, and migrations, and will partner with infrastructure, security, and SAP functional teams to deliver a stable, well-governed SAP platform. This is a full-time, direct W2 position that is 100% remote within the United States. The listed annual salary range is $120,000–$170,000. Candidates must have at least 12 years of SAP Basis / platform engineering experience. U.S. citizens, Green Card holders, EAD holders, and H-1B transfer candidates are encouraged to apply; new H-1B visa petitions cannot be sponsored for this position.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- 12 or more years of SAP Basis / platform engineering experience in large enterprise environments.
- Strong hands-on experience administering SAP HANA databases in production.
- Experience operating S/4HANA, ECC, BW/4HANA, Solution Manager, and other NetWeaver systems.
- Hands-on experience with SAP migrations to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Strong experience with SAP upgrades, EHP/SP application, and system conversions.
- Solid experience with SAP HA/DR strategies, including HANA System Replication and clustering.
- Working knowledge of SAP transport management and Solution Manager ChaRM.
- Scripting skills in Bash, PowerShell, Python, or Ansible.
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.
Nice To Haves
- SAP certifications in HANA, S/4HANA, or Basis administration.
- Experience with SAP RISE / Grow and SAP Cloud ALM.
- Familiarity with SAP BTP and integration with hyperscaler-native services.
- Exposure to infrastructure-as-code for SAP landscapes, such as Ansible or Terraform.
- Experience operating regulated SAP workloads, including SOX, GxP, or PCI.
Responsibilities

- Implement and support SAP high availability and disaster recovery strategies, including HANA System Replication and clustering.
- Work with SAP transport management and Solution Manager ChaRM.
- Partner with infrastructure, security, and SAP functional teams to deliver a stable, well-governed SAP platform.
- Use scripting skills in Bash, PowerShell, Python, or Ansible.
- Troubleshoot issues and maintain strong communication and documentation.
