About The Position

DPCG is seeking qualified candidates to join a talent pipeline for an upcoming CBP contract. This is a hands-on engineering role where the Senior Salesforce Developer will design and build solutions on the Salesforce platform, supporting the customer's Salesforce Center of Innovation. The role involves owning complex development work from technical design through deployment, serving as the senior technical expert, and maintaining the health of a large enterprise platform by performing root cause analysis and coordinating with Salesforce on platform issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 7 years of relevant technical experience, including hands-on Salesforce development.
  • Salesforce Certified Administrator.
  • Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I & III.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a government background investigation.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Salesforce Government Cloud or other FedRAMP environments.
  • Working familiarity with Salesforce CLI, VS Code with Salesforce extensions, Developer Console, and scratch orgs.
  • GitLab and DevSecOps pipeline experience.
  • ServiceNow, Jira, and Confluence.
  • Prior federal or public sector delivery experience.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and deploy custom Salesforce solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components, Flows, and declarative configuration.
  • Build and maintain integrations between Salesforce and external systems using REST and SOAP APIs, platform events, and middleware.
  • Extend the data model, including objects, relationships, sharing rules, and permission sets.
  • Translate business requirements into scalable technical designs and document the approach.
  • Review code, write and maintain unit tests, and adhere to Salesforce best practices regarding governor limits, security, and maintainability.
  • Manage releases through source control and CI/CD pipelines using Git, Salesforce CLI, scratch orgs, and sandboxes.
  • Keep the org current through Salesforce's three annual releases by assessing impact, testing, and remediating.
  • Serve as the senior technical escalation point for complex defects, isolating root causes across code, configuration, integrations, and platform behavior.
  • Write root cause analysis for critical issues and drive corrective and preventive actions.
  • Coordinate directly with Salesforce Support and platform vendors on issues.
  • Mentor developers and administrators, providing technical direction for reusable, secure, and maintainable solutions.
  • Partner with product owners, architects, and security teams in an Agile delivery cadence.
