Senior Salesforce Developer
About The Position
This is a 6-month contract position for a Senior Salesforce Developer with remote work capabilities. The role involves working alongside the existing Salesforce team, contributing advanced technical development expertise to build and deliver Salesforce solutions. The developer will be expected to manage development work independently, handle complex Salesforce development, integrations, APIs, custom code, and advanced platform functionality. A data-minded approach, comfort with emerging AI functionality, and a deadline-driven, resourceful, collaborative, accountable, quality-focused, and execution-focused mindset are essential. The developer will receive established requirements and focus on building and delivering the technical solution.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on Salesforce development experience with advanced knowledge of Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), SOQL, and Salesforce development patterns
- Experience building and maintaining REST and/or SOAP API integrations
- Strong understanding of Salesforce objects, relationships, permissions, automation, platform functionality, and governor limits
- Experience with full-stack Salesforce development, including triggers, asynchronous Apex, batch Apex, and scheduled Apex
- Experience with testing, debugging, deployments, production troubleshooting, and resolving complex technical issues
- Ability to take established technical requirements and independently execute development work with minimal oversight
- Strong problem-solving, organization, and time-management skills with the ability to consistently meet project deadlines
- Proven experience successfully completing Salesforce development projects
Nice To Haves
- Approximately 3–6 years of Salesforce development experience, although demonstrated skill and technical knowledge will be considered more important than tenure
- Salesforce Platform Developer certification(s)
- Salesforce Administrator certification
- Experience with Salesforce platform or application development
- Experience with complex API and third-party integrations
- Experience working within an Agile/Scrum environment
- Experience working in a Salesforce org with significant custom development and automation
- Portfolio, project examples, or demonstrated experience delivering advanced Salesforce development solutions
Responsibilities
- Develop, enhance, and maintain custom Salesforce solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), SOQL, Flows, and other Salesforce development tools
- Build and support Apex classes, triggers, batch and scheduled processes, asynchronous functionality, and appropriate test coverage
- Build, maintain, and troubleshoot API integrations between Salesforce and third-party platforms
- Perform full-stack Salesforce development across the user interface, business logic, integration, and data layers
- Build technical solutions based on established requirements and independently execute assigned development work once priorities and direction are defined
- Troubleshoot, debug, optimize, and improve existing code, integrations, automations, and custom functionality
- Follow Salesforce development best practices related to scalability, security, maintainability, and governor limits
- Support testing, deployments, and post-deployment troubleshooting
- Participate in Scrum meetings and technical discussions and communicate progress, blockers, dependencies, and risks clearly
- Work cohesively within the existing Salesforce architecture, team structure, and established development processes
- Consistently complete assigned development work within established deadlines
