About The Position

Optro is seeking a senior individual contributor to help lead Sales Strategy & Analytics, also known as Moneyball. The role owns core elements of the go-to-market planning and performance measurement system, including annual ARR and pipeline generation targets, sales quotas, headcount and capacity models, and dashboards and frameworks that align leaders. The position works closely with GTM and Finance leadership to structure ambiguous problems and turn complex data into actionable recommendations. It reports directly to the Director of Sales Strategy & Analytics and supports commercial leadership in making data-backed decisions that drive revenue growth. The role covers planning fundamentals, sales performance measurement, strategic partnership, and analytical quality. It includes building targets and models, developing dashboards and leading indicators, standardizing metrics, using AI to create scalable GTM tools and efficiencies, and mentoring peers and junior analysts. The position also advances reporting automation and data quality as the business scales.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in GTM analytics, sales operations, or a related function supporting an enterprise, multi-product GTM motion; B2B SaaS experience is strongly preferred.
  • Deep understanding of GTM motions, sales planning including territory design and quota setting, and forecasting for sales, SE, and xDR functions.
  • Hands-on SQL skills, including independently pulling, joining, and validating data.
  • Fluency with modern B2B commercial tools such as Salesforce, Gong, and Clari, and BI tools such as Tableau, Looker, Power BI, or similar.
  • Practical experience using AI to build scalable GTM tools and workflow efficiencies that people continue to use.
  • Strong executive communication skills, including the ability to turn complex analysis into one clear recommendation for a CGO.
  • Ability to structure ambiguous problems and challenge convention when the data supports doing so.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with dbt, Python or R, and a cloud data warehouse such as Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift.
  • Experience building with LLM APIs or AI-assisted analytics tools, such as natural-language querying or automated narrative reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Build company-wide annual ARR and pipeline generation targets, translating growth goals into structured assumptions and scenarios.
  • Own sales quota setting, headcount and capacity models, and rep productivity analysis.
  • Support territory design so sales coverage matches growth opportunities.
  • Define clear inputs, timelines, and outputs across planning workstreams.
  • Build and maintain dashboards, scorecards, and KPI reports for sales, SE, and xDR teams.
  • Define leading indicators that identify risk and opportunity early.
  • Standardize metrics across regions, channels, and product lines into a single source of truth.
  • Use AI to build scalable tools and efficiencies that GTM teams rely on day to day.
  • Partner with GTM and Finance leaders on performance measurement and decision-making.
  • Turn complex analysis into clear, defensible recommendations.
  • Align stakeholders around a shared narrative and consistent view of business data.
  • Set standards for analytical rigor and quality assurance across the analytics team.
  • Mentor peers and junior analysts in modeling, scenario planning, and executive communication.
  • Advance reporting automation and data quality as the business scales.
