About The Position

TELUS Agriculture & Consumer Goods is looking for a hunter—a sales professional who thrives on prospecting, building pipeline, and closing new logos with major agricultural enterprises. Your territory is the Southeast US. This is a prime agricultural market—a region dense with major farms, cooperatives, input suppliers, equipment manufacturers, food processing companies, and Fortune 500 enterprises navigating digital transformation. These customers are actively seeking trusted partners who understand their challenges and can position solutions that drive measurable results in Agronomy, Program Execution, and Supply Chain. If you love the hunt, you're energized by opening new logos with enterprise customers, you thrive with autonomy and clear ownership, and you understand that enterprise deals require consultative partnership and relationship-building with C-suite decision-makers, this role is built for you. You'll join a team driven by three core values: We passionately put our customers and communities first. We embrace change and innovate courageously. We grow together through spirited teamwork.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of enterprise sales experience with a proven track record of hunting—prospecting, qualifying, and closing new logos in complex B2B environments where deal sizes are significant and sales cycles are long
  • Agricultural or technology sales background: You have direct experience selling to agricultural enterprises, agricultural technology companies, agribusiness, or related industries and understand customer challenges, operations, and priorities
  • Hunter mentality with consultative discipline: You love prospecting and closing deals AND you understand that enterprise sales require building relationships, understanding customer business objectives, and positioning tailored solutions
  • Autonomous execution: You're entrepreneurial and comfortable working independently—you take ownership of territory results and drive your own success
  • Enterprise selling capability: You can present confidently to C-Suite executives, build compelling business cases, navigate complex organizational decision-making, and negotiate contracts at significant deal sizes
  • Business and technical acumen: You understand the financial and operational challenges agricultural enterprises face and can position technology solutions that drive measurable business impact
  • Resilience and grit: You handle rejection constructively, stay motivated through long sales cycles without losing momentum, and persist when deals get complex
  • Clear communication: You articulate complex solutions and value propositions with confidence, clarity, and credibility to executive-level audiences
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as required for customer meetings, industry events, and territory development

Nice To Haves

  • Professional sales certifications or formal training in consultative or solution-based selling methodologies (Sandler, Spin Selling, Challenger Sale, etc.)
  • Established network or relationships within the agriculture and consumer goods industry in the South or Southwest US
  • Proficiency with Salesforce or similar CRM platforms for pipeline management, forecasting, and sales operations
  • Track record of closing large enterprise deals ($200K+) in complex B2B sales environments
  • Experience selling to Fortune 500 or major enterprise customers in agriculture, technology, or related industries
  • Understanding of modern agriculture operations, supply chain challenges, or digital transformation in food/agriculture/CPG sectors

Responsibilities

  • Own your territory and drive net-new logo development—prospecting, pipeline building, opportunity qualification, and closing
  • Identify and pursue opportunities with major agricultural enterprises, industry-leading companies, and growth accounts that expand TELUS' footprint in the South
  • Build compelling business cases that articulate TELUS Agriculture & Consumer Goods solutions and demonstrate clear value aligned with customer business objectives

  • Qualify with discipline: Move promising prospects through your pipeline with confidence, qualifying early to focus energy on high-probability deals aligned with TELUS solutions
  • Present solutions with impact: Prepare compelling proposals and presentations for C-Suite and senior management that clearly communicate value, ROI, and strategic alignment with their business objectives
  • Negotiate and close: Lead contract negotiations confidently and close deals through a consultative approach that builds trust and long-term partnerships
  • Manage your pipeline: Use Salesforce to track opportunities rigorously, maintain accurate forecasts, and drive closing momentum
