About The Position

Team Liquid is seeking a Senior Sales & Partnerships Manager to oversee and expand strategic relationships with major clients like Alienware and Monster Energy. This role is crucial for fostering enduring client connections, boosting revenue, and ensuring the successful fulfillment of partnership commitments. Reporting to the Director of Sales & Partnerships, you will guide partnerships through their entire lifecycle, from initial setup and delivery to renewal. You will work closely with internal departments such as Creative Services and Talent Management to align partner goals with Team Liquid's objectives. A significant aspect of this position involves identifying opportunities for upselling within current partnerships, optimizing costs, and generating detailed performance reports to showcase the value and impact of these partnerships. Additionally, you will contribute to the Sales & Partnerships department's overall effectiveness and innovation through strategic projects, process enhancements, and by mentoring junior staff. This is a hybrid role based in Los Angeles, CA, requiring at least three days per week in the office.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of hands-on experience in B2B sales and account management, preferably in media, sponsorships, or related fields.
  • Proven ability to manage partnerships, deliver on KPIs, and cultivate long-term relationships.
  • Proficiency in Google Suite, PowerPoint, and project management tools.
  • Exceptional presentation and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines with strong attention to detail.
  • Strong understanding of account management, including end-to-end deliverables execution and driving revenue growth.
  • AI fluency, with demonstrated ability to effectively use tools such as Gemini and Claude to enhance sales and partnership workflows, including research, analysis, strategic planning, presentations, and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary day-to-day contact for client stakeholders, building strong relationships with brand, product, and marketing teams.
  • Manage the complete lifecycle of assigned partnership deliverables, ensuring execution aligns with scope, timeline, and quality standards.
  • Drive revenue growth within existing partnerships through renewals and identifying/developing upsell opportunities, including building supporting business cases.
  • Monitor and report on Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) for assigned deliverables, maintaining target margins and flagging variances.
  • Produce clear, data-driven partner reports that demonstrate value through measurable KPIs, engagement, media value, and campaign outcomes.
  • Manage partner onboarding, compliance checks, and maintain accurate records of contracts, deliverables, and financials.
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration with internal teams to ensure delivery against scope, timelines, and quality standards.
  • Monitor and manage COGS, ensuring alignment with organizational financial targets and margin expectations.
  • Generate and pursue new sales opportunities from lead generation to contract negotiation.
  • Build and maintain a personal book of business contributing to annual revenue goals, including upsells and new business.
  • Identify prospects using tools like LinkedIn and SponsorUnited, and develop customized proposals.
  • Maintain an accurate and updated pipeline view (at least weekly) and contribute to forecasting.
  • Identify revenue opportunities across Team Liquid's platforms, including Liquid Media, Liquipedia, and Talent.
  • Expand a network of clients, agencies, brands, and creators, and represent Team Liquid at industry events.
  • Lead or contribute to initiatives that enhance departmental efficiency, workflow, and reporting.
  • Build strong cross-functional relationships to align on partnership objectives.
  • Share best practices with junior colleagues and contribute to department standards.
  • Support additional departmental and organizational priorities as needed, including process improvements and ad hoc business needs.
