About The Position

Daon is hiring a Europe-based sales professional within its EMEA team to secure new-logo business through direct and partner-led sales channels. The role focuses on driving revenue by identifying, acquiring and developing new customers and strategic partners, with particular emphasis on helping customers prepare for the EU Anti-Money Laundering Regulation (AMLR), which applies from 10 July 2027. Target markets include financial institutions, fintechs, digital banks, public-sector organisations, Fortune 1000 companies in gaming, telecommunications, public sector and technology, and other markets agreed with management. The role involves sourcing, qualifying and developing opportunities through networking, targeted outreach, market knowledge and market-development campaigns. The successful candidate will build much of their own pipeline through research, account-specific points of view and direct outreach to senior decision-makers. Buyers typically include leaders in fraud, security, compliance and digital, as well as executives above them. The candidate will present Daon’s solutions in terms of reducing fraud losses, accelerating customer onboarding and supporting regulatory compliance. The position reports directly to the VP Sales Europe and requires regular travel mainly within Europe, with some travel within EMEA. The role must be based in one of the main European countries.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical, business or relevant field.
  • Relevant sales experience, ideally in identity management, cybersecurity, financial services or another technology field relevant to Daon’s business.
  • Strong business acumen, including the ability to explain customer problems in commercial terms and quantify them.
  • Understanding of solution selling and strategic relationship building.
  • Proven track record of exceeding quota through consultative, complex solution sales and partnership-led revenue generation.
  • Established senior-level contacts and relationships with key end customers, partners or agents, and credibility and respect within the target-market community.
  • Record of opening new senior-level conversations without an introduction.
  • Notable, measurable and verifiable commercial achievements.
  • Ability to identify, open and develop new vertical-market opportunities.
  • Experience selling complex, mission-critical enterprise software into emerging or developing markets and creating meaningful commercial opportunities.
  • Ability to self-source most of their pipeline and manage the full sales process, from prospecting and structured lead generation through pipeline management, reporting and execution.
  • Ability to think and act strategically while maintaining a pragmatic commercial perspective.
  • Strong influencing skills and executive presence, with the ability to be articulate, credible and confident in senior customer conversations.
  • Self-managing and methodical approach to territory planning, commitments and maintaining momentum without close supervision.
  • Collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
  • Regular travel mainly within Europe, with some travel within EMEA, may be required.
  • Must be based in one of the main European countries.

Nice To Haves

  • Engage directly with end customers to understand and define requirements, and remain involved to support successful implementation.
  • Collaborate across the company to make effective use of resources and expertise.
