About The Position

This position is responsible for managing rendered and blended byproduct sales for commercial feed customers, with additional support for select pet food and nutraceutical accounts. The role is accountable for achieving volume and profitability objectives through ownership of domestic sales activities and participation in international export sales. This position supports customer relationship management, inventory optimization, sales planning, and contract negotiations. The role manages commercial feed customer accounts, leads negotiations for weekly and select annual contracts, and actively manages excess inventory to optimize margins. Responsibilities include developing, executing, and reporting on sales plans, contributing to business development initiatives, and collaborating closely with cross‑functional teams including Margin Management, Production Planning, Food Safety & Quality Assurance, Accounting, Operations, and Nutritionists. The position also supervises and supports one Associate Customer Service Team Member and performs additional duties as business needs require.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • 3 plus years of sales experience
  • Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills
  • Supervisory experience (managing one Associate Customer Service Team Member)

Nice To Haves

  • Poultry Industry experience preferred
  • Feed or milling industry experience a plus
  • SAP experience preferred
