About The Position

OneTrust is seeking a corporate counsel to provide transactional support on commercial contracts due to increased customer demand for their AI-Ready Governance Platform. The successful candidate will join the Commercial & Product Support team and will be responsible for negotiating high volume SaaS contracts throughout their lifecycle, handling ad-hoc legal requests from the sales function, understanding key IP, commercial, and finance requirements, staying updated on applicable laws and regulations, driving compliance in sales activities, supporting updates to legal team templates and precedents, and assisting with wider company projects.

Requirements

JD from an accredited U.S. law school required
Member of a State Bar in good standing
2+ years of commercial contracts experience
Excellent communicator and negotiator
Self-motivated
Able to work independently, multi-task and prioritize your workload
Able to quickly shift priorities to meet deadlines
Able to effectively communicate, both verbal and written, with all levels of the organization
Meticulous and pride yourself with attention to detail and accuracy
Adaptable to change and thrive in a fast-paced environment
Highly organized

Nice To Haves

Privacy, GRC, Ethics & Compliance or ESG experience
High volume commercial transactions experience with a SaaS or other technology company

Responsibilities

Negotiate high volume SaaS contracts through the contract lifecycle to execution
Handle ad-hoc legal requests for support from the sales function

Keep up-to-date on applicable laws, regulations, and industry guidance
Drive compliance in day-to-day sales activities, including providing training
Support updates to legal team templates & precedents
Assist with wider company projects assigned to the Commercial & Product Support team
