Internship: Senior Sales (Part-Time/Seasonal)
About The Position
Monumental Sports & Entertainment (MSE) is a prominent integrated sports and entertainment company that owns and operates multiple professional sports teams including the Washington Capitals, Washington Wizards, and Washington Mystics. MSE also manages major venues like Capital One Arena and MedStar Capitals Iceplex, and operates Monumental Sports Network. The Senior Sales Intern will support the Washington Wizards Sales & Service staff in game day planning, preparation, and execution, with a focus on servicing new clients and learning the sales process. This is a paid internship.
Requirements
- Current undergraduate or graduate student.
- Dedicated, outgoing, hard-working, punctual, dependable, and an excellent teammate.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office & Outlook.
- Reliable transportation and housing.
- Ability to work a minimum of 20 hours per week from September-April.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Responsibilities
- Make outbound phone calls to previous clients on behalf of senior sales representatives.
- Independently handle a small account base through the entire sales process.
- Develop relationships and network with senior level executives at MSE.
- Assist with fulfillment and activation of season ticket member benefits.
- Coordinate promotional fulfillment and services for all home games.
- Work all Wizards home games and assist with the setup and execution of special events.
- Assist in execution of sales and service fan experience processes.
- Compile and organize client and prospect databases.
- Research successful ticket sales campaigns to determine new successful approaches and standard methodologies.
- Assist with direct mail and customer outreach campaigns.
- Other duties as assigned.
