About The Position

Magnetics, a division of Spang & Company, is seeking a Senior Sales Engineer to design customized technical solutions for customer requirements, aiming to increase revenue and profitability within the European Market. This remote position requires up to 40% domestic and international travel for customer visits, trade shows, and conferences. Magnetics is a global leader in precision soft magnetic components and materials for the electronics industry, specializing in powder cores, ferrite cores, and tape wound cores used in various electronic systems across diverse sectors like alternative energy, telecommunications, aerospace, and medical.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or other technical discipline.
  • 5 to 10 years' experience in Sales, Engineering, or Business Development in a technical environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree.
  • Ability to communicate in German, Italian, or Spanish.

Responsibilities

  • Interface directly with customers to promote and sell Magnetics products.
  • Design inductors and transformers to meet customer needs.
  • Work with direct accounts and distributor sales teams to review sales plans and develop strategies that increase sales.
  • Provide technical training and support to Magnetics Sales Engineers, Customer Service, and Distributor Sales Engineers.
  • Create and execute business plans to grow Magnetics’ market share.
  • Actively promote the Magnetics brand in new designs.
  • Prepare and deliver sales and technical presentations.
  • Collaborate with marketing, engineering, and production to implement strategies.
  • Coordinate with Engineering and Quality to address customer complaints and returns.
  • Lead sales support activities such as quotes, sampling, and customer service.
  • Negotiate special pricing and conditions to improve profitability.
  • Manage customer support to meet customer needs.
