About The Position

SpyCloud is seeking an experienced and skilled Sales Engineer with expertise in security domains including Identity and Access Management, incident response, SaaS, and OSINT. The ideal candidate will excel at articulating complex technical solutions to diverse audiences and be proficient in all aspects of the technical sales cycle. This role requires a self-motivated individual who can thrive in a rapidly evolving environment, manage multiple demands, and collaborate effectively within a team to deliver optimal customer solutions. The position is ideally located in the Washington, DC metro area and requires an active TS or TS/SCI clearance (or the ability to obtain one) as a plus.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in cybersecurity presales.
  • Must have a strong network of US Federal and Federal Channel Technical Contacts.
  • Deep understanding of identity protection, zero-trust, threat intelligence, account takeover prevention, and malware recovery.
  • Ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong presentation skills are a must.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple demands and operate in a rapidly evolving environment.
  • Willingness to travel as required.

Nice To Haves

  • 10+ years of experience in cybersecurity presales.
  • Experience with link analysis tools preferred (e.g., Maltego, IBM I2 Analyst Notebook, Palantir).
  • Experience with cloud-based security solutions, APIs, SIEMs (Splunk, Elastic, etc.), and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) is preferred.
  • Familiarity with compliance standards and certifications such as NIST 800-53, FedRAMP, CMMC, and/or TIC 3.0.
  • Previous experience with SaaS-based cybersecurity platforms or threat intel solutions.
  • Demonstrated success in working cross-functionally with sales, product, and engineering teams.
  • Active TS or TS/SCI clearance (or ability to obtain one) is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the Federal sales team to present SpyCloud solutions to customers, tailored for unique use cases and environments.
  • Leverage SpyCloud data to hunt adversaries and criminals, applying this to specific customer situations.
  • Drive channel partnerships through solution architect/SME engagement.
  • Conduct product demonstrations, technical presentations, requirements analysis, and evaluation management.
  • Contribute to technical sections of proposals and respond to RFIs/RFPs with accurate, compelling content that aligns with Federal requirements.
  • Collaborate with Federal Channel Partners, including resellers, distributors, and Systems Integrators (SIs), to support joint sales opportunities, training, and go-to-market activities.
  • Guide Federal customers in the technical integration of SpyCloud’s solutions, including API workflows, data ingestion, and compliance alignment.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to help customers derive maximum value from SpyCloud’s platform and stay ahead of evolving identity threats.
  • Relay field intelligence and Federal-specific product feedback to internal Product, Engineering, and Marketing teams.
