About The Position

The Senior Sales Design Associate sells flooring and installation services, assists residential clients with flooring selections, and manages jobs from initial customer interaction through completion. The role includes showroom sales, product research and selection, preparing estimates and proposals, coordinating measures, schedules and work orders, supporting installation quality, and ensuring job payments are collected. The associate also builds client relationships, follows up on customer requests and concerns, and helps train new salespeople while meeting or exceeding sales goals and metrics.

Requirements

Ability to read and understand plans.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and RFMS or other estimating software.
Strong technical knowledge of flooring.
Project management experience.

Responsibilities

Coach and train new salespeople.
Participate in product research and selection for the showroom.
Sell flooring, including installation services.
Stay up to date on the flooring selection, features, benefits, and warranties.
Provide outstanding customer service and meet with clients in the showroom.
Coordinate job measurements and estimates.
Write proposals and sales orders.
Work with administrative staff to create work orders and job schedules.
Help manage and follow up on jobs through completion.
Take responsibility for each job and its process.
Visit job sites to ensure the installation process runs smoothly.
Coordinate with accounting to ensure job payments are collected.
Build client relationships and network with other store employees.
Use a computer database to research merchandise availability and process orders.
Follow up promptly and professionally with customers about requests or concerns.
Assist customers with flooring choices by explaining features and benefits.
Meet or exceed required sales goals and metrics.
