About The Position
The Senior Sales Associate supports the store’s sales and profit objectives by achieving individual sales goals and delivering superior customer service. The role also takes on senior-level responsibilities within the store, including promoting music lessons, building relationships with customers and community organizations, and participating in store operations. Music & Arts is part of the Guitar Center enterprise and operates retail stores, educational representatives, and affiliate locations. The company was founded in Bethesda, Maryland, in 1952 and focuses on serving customers through music products and lessons.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Two years of relevant work experience.
- Skilled knowledge of musical instruments and written music.
Responsibilities
- Generate sales to exceed personal sales goals.
- Promote the Music & Arts lesson program.
- Build business by networking with teachers, schools, churches, and community organizations.
- Develop customer relationships and deliver compelling sales presentations based on sales training.
- Provide outstanding customer service to every customer.
- Promote customer loyalty.
- Participate in store operations, including merchandising, displays, and maintenance.
- Maintain store security, including managing perimeter door keys, register keys, and a personal alarm code.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
