About The Position

The Senior Sales Analyst is a strategic commercial role responsible for supporting the planning, execution, and optimization of retail sales growth initiatives. Acting as a key connector between sales, marketing, supply chain, and customers, this role helps drive customer engagement, new business development, assortment optimization, pricing strategy, and successful new item launches. This position plays an active role in supporting private label retail growth opportunities while helping the sales team strengthen customer relationships and improve commercial execution. The role combines analytical, strategic, and customer-facing responsibilities to maximize revenue growth and long-term customer partnerships.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in analytics, insights, category management, or commercial strategy
  • Experience supporting pricing, forecasting, or demand planning processes is an asset
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Business Analytics, Economics, or a related field
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking capabilities
  • Ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable business insights
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, including ability to influence stakeholders
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and data visualization tools
  • Experience with Qlik, Nielsen, Scintilla and Circana, or equivalent syndicated data platform
  • Strong business acumen with understanding of retail, private label, and category management dynamics
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail combined with a strategic mindset
  • Cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in CPG, retail, or food industry strongly preferred
  • Advanced degree (MBA or equivalent) is an asset

Responsibilities

  • Assist the retail sales team in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, particularly within private label retail accounts.
  • Support customer presentations, opportunity analysis, and growth initiatives.
  • Participate in customer-facing activities that strengthen relationships, improve engagement, and enhance overall commercial effectiveness.
  • Support pricing analysis, assortment optimization, and category recommendations to improve competitiveness and drive profitable growth.
  • Coordinate and support the successful commercialization and launch of new products, ensuring alignment across internal teams and customers.
  • Manage and coordinate annual retail booking processes, ensuring alignment between customer commitments, production planning, and internal execution.
  • Collaborate with sales, supply chain, operations, marketing, and customer service teams to ensure strong communication and seamless execution of customer programs.
  • Analyze customer portal data, sales trends, assortment performance, competitive activity, market conditions, and customer opportunities to support commercial planning and growth initiatives.
  • Support the sales organization with customer insights, presentations, analytics, and tools that improve selling effectiveness and execution.
