About The Position

This role supports the Safety Management System across construction and industrial environments, reviewing building and system designs for compliance and integration of safety by design best known methods. It involves conducting hazard analysis and risk assessments, developing and improving safety programs, evaluating operations for regulatory compliance, and monitoring changes to regulatory requirements. The position also includes developing and conducting safety training, performing site safety audits, coordinating regulatory compliance inspections, responding to emergencies, investigating accidents, and collecting/communicating safety performance measurements. A key aspect of this role is supporting the continuous improvement of Micron’s Occupation Health and Safety Management System, including developing and maintaining standardized AI-enabled workflows and leveraging AI tools to analyze safety data, identify trends, predict risks, and support proactive risk reduction. The role also provides safety oversight of construction execution by General Contractors.

Requirements

  • 3+ years professional experience in Safety or Industrial Hygiene field preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to work well with various disciplines within a complex environment or equivalent.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills with team members, customers, and management.
  • Demonstrated success in managing small to medium sized projects and leading cross-functional teams
  • Possess good organizational and computer skills
  • Ability to self-motivate and work with a minimum of supervision
  • CSP or CIH preferred

Responsibilities

  • Support Safety Management System across construction and industrial environments
  • Review building and system designs for compliance and integration of safety by design best known methods (BKM)
  • Conduct detailed task and process hazard analysis and risk assessments
  • Develop, implement, and continually improve Micron’s safety programs and operating procedures to assure worker safety and property conservation
  • Evaluate operations to confirm compliance with applicable regulatory requirements and benchmark industry standards
  • Monitor changes to regulatory requirements and implement changes as required
  • Develop and conduct safety training
  • Plan, develop, and perform site safety audits in conjunction with area personnel
  • Coordinate regulatory compliance inspections
  • Respond as safety officer to emergencies and rotate through an “on-call” schedule
  • Perform investigations of accidents and unplanned events
  • Collect, evaluate, and communicate safety performance measurements to site management
  • Support continuous improvement of Micron’s Occupation Health and Safety Management System
  • Develop and maintain standardized AI-enabled workflows, templates, and automation solutions that improve productivity across EHS programs.
  • Leverage AI tools to analyze safety data, identify trends, predict potential risks, and support proactive risk reduction strategies.
  • Provide Safety oversight of Construction Execution by the General Contractors to ensure organizations requirements are effectively implemented
