About The Position

The Senior Systems Safety Engineer leads technical initiatives to identify, evaluate, and reduce high-potential safety risks. The role directs system-level hazard assessments, integrates Prevention through Design (PtD) principles into risk evaluations, and partners with Engineering, Operations, Maintenance, and leadership to strengthen controls for low-frequency, high-consequence events. The position supports PROENERGY’s Houston and Sedalia operations and is based at the listed Houston work location. PROENERGY is an engineering, R&D, and manufacturing company serving fast-start power generation through turbine and package manufacturing, turnkey project execution, power purchase agreements, and lifecycle care for turbines and plants. The company describes a global service footprint and ongoing infrastructure investment. The role reports to the SVP Compliance Sustainability Chief Compliance Officer. Candidates must have U.S. work authorization; sponsorship for a work-authorized visa is not available. The successful candidate must satisfactorily complete a pre-employment drug screen and background check, including a Motor Vehicle Record review, as well as DISA background and drug-screen requirements when indicated by a PROENERGY client.
