About The Position

Arcadis is seeking a Senior Roadway Design Engineer to join their team in Cleveland, Columbus, or Akron. This role involves leading and directing the development and design of infrastructure projects for roadways, including intersections, collector streets, urban arterials, rural and urban expressways, interstates, and interstate interchanges. The position offers the opportunity to perform various roles on multi-disciplined projects, such as technical design, production lead, task leader, and assisting Project Managers and lead engineers. A key aspect of the role is client interaction, including making presentations and managing client expectations. Responsibilities also include assisting in developing project scopes and budgets, mentoring junior staff, developing project plans, maintaining schedules, and ensuring compliance with Arcadis' quality and safety standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineer
  • 10 or more years’ relevant engineering experience including supervision of elements of large, complex projects
  • Professional Engineer (PE)
  • Engineering experience with infrastructure design and construction engineering, which may include cost estimates, technical reports, construction plans and project displays.
  • Proficiency with CAD particularly Civil3D, Microstation and experience with OpenRoads software
  • Familiarity with ODOT design standards and policies.
  • Excellent, clear and concise, oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to contribute information to meetings, assist with effective client presentations and prepare written reports and meeting minutes.
  • Ability to work on multiple unique assignments simultaneously.
  • Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-motivated, team-oriented and flexible individual who possess the initiative and ability to tackle new projects, challenges, and concepts.

Responsibilities
