About The Position

As a Senior Risk Associate at Capital One, you will work with business partners to identify and mitigate potential risks to the company. Senior Risk Associates serve as the front line of defense to help ensure Capital One remains stable and profitable. The role offers exposure across lines of business and the opportunity to develop and implement solutions to identify and mitigate risks.

The position calls for a motivated risk management professional with strong organizational and communication skills. Responsibilities include coordinating work across teams and projects, documenting risk events and recovery processes in accordance with Enterprise Risk Management standards, and identifying process improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or military experience.
• At least 2 years of experience in Risk Management.

Nice To Haves

• 2 or more years of experience in project or process management.
• 3 or more years of experience in Risk Management.
• PMP Certification or a Master’s Certificate of Project Management (CPM).

Responsibilities

• Actively participate in team-oriented efforts.
• Manage multiple tasks independently to meet deadlines.
• Coordinate work across multiple areas and manage multiple projects simultaneously, leveraging and influencing business partners to drive results.
• Complete risk event management and recovery process documentation in accordance with Enterprise Risk Management Risk Event Management Standards.
• Initiate and execute process improvements, leveraging other team members when appropriate.
