Operational Risk Senior Associate
About The Position
The Operational Risk Senior Associate contributes to second-line oversight of DTCC’s End User Computing Application (EUCA) Framework. The role conducts governance reviews and provides effective challenge throughout the EUCA lifecycle to help ensure compliance with EUCA Policy, Standards, and Procedures. It monitors EUCA inventory data, annual owner control reviews, supervisor attestations, incidents, and governance actions. The position also supports EUCA policy and resource maintenance, analyzes inventory data and prepares governance risk reports for senior management and risk committees, and partners with Technology on improvements to the governance tool and processes. Additional work includes identifying process automation opportunities and supporting internal audit, regulatory, and independent reviews with timely, accurate documentation. DTCC describes its Risk Management teams as working to protect the safety and soundness of its systems and to identify, manage, measure, and mitigate risk across products, activities, processes, and systems.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of related experience.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to evaluate information, identify gaps, and provide effective challenge.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate documentation.
- Ability to analyze data and communicate meaningful risk and governance insights to stakeholders and management.
- Ability to prioritize work, take initiative, and operate independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience, as stated in the qualifications section.
- Experience with ProcessUnity, Power BI, Excel, SharePoint, or similar risk and reporting tools.
- Experience documenting business requirements, developing user stories, and supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Advanced degree or certification in risk management, audit, compliance, data analytics, or project management.
- Experience with Regulation SCI or other regulatory reporting.
- ISACA certification, particularly CRISC, CISA, CISM, CGEIT, or equivalent.
Responsibilities
- Perform governance activities and contribute to second-line oversight of the End User Computing Application (EUCA) Framework.
- Conduct governance reviews and provide effective challenge across the EUCA lifecycle, including registration, risk assessment, control review, change management, and retirement.
- Review EUCA inventory data periodically for completeness and accuracy and monitor completion of annual EUCA Owner control reviews and EUCA Supervisor attestations.
- Guide EUCA stakeholders on adherence to EUCA Policy, Standards, and Procedures.
- Contribute to reviewing and maintaining EUCA policies, standards, procedures, training materials, and other related resources.
- Analyze EUCA inventory data and prepare governance risk reports for senior management and relevant risk committees.
- Partner with Technology to improve the EUCA governance tool and processes by documenting business requirements, developing user stories, supporting user acceptance testing, and validating enhancements against business requirements.
- Identify process improvement and automation opportunities across EUCA Governance activities and support related initiatives.
- Support internal audit, regulatory, and independent reviews by compiling accurate and timely EUCA documentation.
- Monitor EUCA-related incidents and track related EUCA Governance actions.
