About The Position

As an Advanced RF/Antenna Engineer, you will own complex, board-level RF circuit and antenna designs from initial architecture and simulation through lab debugging, regulatory compliance, and global factory bring-up. You will design transmitters, receivers, and antennas in the 800 MHz to 8 GHz range. This hands-on role offers the opportunity to innovate in location technology and generate patents. The position requires working at least three days per week in Long Island, with two days remote in the United States.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and at least 5 years of experience, or a master's degree and at least 4 years of experience.
  • Experience with board-level RF circuit design.
  • RF impedance-matching experience and understanding of the Smith Chart for RF design.
  • Experience with antenna design and measurements.
  • Familiarity with VNAs, spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, and RF power meters.
  • Some design experience with Class A/AB power amplifiers up to 5 W.
  • Ability to work hands-on with testing, troubleshooting, matching, and soldering.
  • Experience with RF simulation software such as ADS or CST.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with power-supply regulator design as it relates to RF circuits and power amplifiers.
  • Prior knowledge of schematic capture and PCB layout viewers for layout reviews.
  • RF design experience in the 800 MHz to 8 GHz range.
  • RF design experience for UHF RFID readers.
  • Familiarity with RF receiver design and measurements.
  • RF system-level design experience, such as RFID or UWB.
  • Experience with ADS, CST, or Cadence design tools.
  • Experience with WWAN, BLE, Wi-Fi, LoRa, or GPS RF design.

Responsibilities

  • Design, analyze, and integrate RF receivers, transmitters, and antennas.
  • Conduct RF system implementation throughout the product design cycle.
  • Design power supplies and other supporting circuits.
  • Handle component selection, prototyping, factory bring-up, lab-bench debugging, and root-cause analysis.
  • Work with internal cross-functional teams and external JDMs/CMs to bring RFID products to market.
  • Support EMI/EMC troubleshooting and validation.
  • Architect, design, support development of, and test RF design solutions for complex technical projects.
  • Create specifications and provide input for product requirements.
  • Contribute to the technology roadmap process.
  • Prioritize quality and seek improvements in all aspects of RF projects.
