About The Position

Everyday Dose is a fast-growing, nine-figure D2C functional coffee company focused on helping people feel better, think clearer, and perform at their best. We are seeking a Senior Retention Manager to execute our retention roadmap. This role reports to the Sr. Director of Retention and requires an operator to manage onboarding, loyalty, and lifecycle retention initiatives from start to finish. The position involves scoping, building tactics, analyzing results, and iterating quickly. It is an individual contributor role that requires judgment, initiative, and marketing instincts to bring ideas to life independently. The role will partner with management on strategy and prioritization but will drive initiatives from concept to impact. This role is fully remote, with a hybrid option for candidates in Austin, TX.

Requirements

  • Experience in D2C ecommerce, ideally in wellness, health, or a subscription business, with an understanding of subscriber lifecycle mechanics.
  • Structured thinking and comfort with data, using evidence to support ideas.
  • Daily use of AI tools to accelerate work and business impact.
  • Ability to write or brief compelling and converting communications, knowing when to involve a copywriter.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on ensuring tasks are completed correctly.
  • Ability to take an ambiguous problem, define a path forward, and execute.
  • Experience project managing cross-functional initiatives and building alignment without formal authority.
  • Desire for ownership and a drive to build, energized by a startup pace.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Klaviyo, Skio, Superfiliate, Northbeam, or similar retention/lifecycle tooling.
  • Familiarity with subscription mechanics: dunning, involuntary churn, cancel flow design, win-back economics.
  • Experience running or reading A/B tests.

Responsibilities

  • Finalizing and scaling onboarding initiatives for the first 30-60 days of the subscriber journey, including personalized content, dosing and usage education, and flexible product/plan options to reduce early churn.
  • Building and improving programs to keep subscribers engaged and reduce churn from month 2 onward, including loyalty and rewards, cross-selling, plan upgrades, dunning flows, and cancel flow optimization.
  • Nurturing CRM leads into new subscribers by working cross-functionally with growth teams.
  • Managing the email agency to brief, optimize, and send campaigns and flows to drive new subscribers from leads.
  • Working cross-functionally with product, brand, and CX as initiatives require.
  • Taking initiatives from 0 to 1: scoping the problem, building the plan, getting stakeholder buy-in, and driving execution.
  • Writing comms briefs and building/executing lifecycle campaigns in Klaviyo (email and SMS), including founder notes, win-back sequences, and onboarding flows.
  • Analyzing subscriber, cohort, and churn data to understand trends, size opportunities, and validate effectiveness.
  • Leveraging AI tools to accelerate research, analysis, drafting, and QA.
  • Designing and analyzing A/B tests and translating results into clear recommendations.
  • Project managing cross-functional initiatives in a fast-moving startup environment.
  • Tracking key metrics such as repurchase rate, churn, LTV, and recovery rate, and reporting on progress and impact.
