About The Position

The Senior Residential Advisor provides a safe, supportive, and predictable environment in dormitory supervision of Job Corps trainees in their daily activities. This role involves monitoring their progress in attaining performance contract goals and objectives, and utilizing behavior management and intentional, consistent, Core-Value-driven practices. The Senior Residential Advisor conducts dormitory operations in accordance with center operating policy and procedures, providing daily supervision to students aged 16-24 to ensure good order and discipline are maintained in the dormitory. This position ensures dormitories are under supervision 24 hours a day and that all rules, policies, and procedures are followed by residents. The role also involves maintaining 100% accountability of all residents and logging significant events during their shift. Additionally, the Senior Residential Advisor assists students in adjusting to Center life by providing supervision, behavior modification, and acting as a mentor. Documentation of student records is required according to PRH, including inputting all relevant student data.

Requirements

High School graduate or equivalent required.
Required to pass a drug screen in compliance with our Substance Abuse and Drug-Free Workplace policy.
Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a nationwide criminal background check.

Nice To Haves

Prefer two years' experience in a related field such as counseling, education, social work, rehabilitation, or vocational guidance.
Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record preferred.

Responsibilities

Documents student records according to PRH, inputting all relevant student data.
