The Alberta Geological Survey (AGS), part of the Alberta Energy Regulator (AER), is seeking a Senior Reservoir Engineer to join our Applied Geoscience team. In this role, you'll collaborate with geologists, geophysicists, and seismologists to evaluate oil and gas reservoirs, support subsurface resource assessments, and contribute to emerging initiatives such as carbon capture, utilization, and storage (CCUS). You'll apply advanced reservoir engineering, modelling, and simulation techniques to support reservoir characterization, assess subsurface conditions, and help address complex technical challenges, including investigations related to induced seismicity. As a senior member of the team, you'll also provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to colleagues across the organization, contributing to technical excellence and continuous improvement. This is an opportunity to broaden your expertise and develop your technical authority in a unique regulatory and geoscientific environment while contributing to work that supports responsible energy development for Albertans. You'll join a collaborative team that values innovation, knowledge sharing, and professional growth, while working on technically challenging projects with province-wide impact.
