Senior Research Scientist, Proteomics
About The Position
The Senior Research Scientist, Proteomics (SRS) assumes the responsibilities of a Research Scientist III while working with a high degree of independence and providing leadership to up to three Research Associates and/or Scientists. The role focuses primarily on hands-on laboratory execution to support the successful and timely delivery of proteomics research programs. In collaboration with multidisciplinary wet-lab and data science teams, the SRS applies technical expertise to generate high-quality scientific data and advance project objectives. The SRS also serves as a client-facing scientific resource, partnering with Laboratory Operations and Business Development to communicate biological insights and support client success across therapeutic areas and modalities. The role contributes to commercial scoping of proteomics programs, aligning client expectations and project objectives with operational capabilities and execution requirements. The position also supports Sapient's scientific publication strategy by developing and disseminating high-impact scientific content that strengthens the company's scientific reputation and industry leadership.
Responsibilities
- Execute hands-on laboratory work to support timely delivery of proteomics research programs.
- Generate high-quality scientific data and advance project objectives in collaboration with wet-lab and data science teams.
- Provide leadership to up to three Research Associates and/or Scientists.
- Serve as a client-facing scientific resource and communicate biological insights.

- Develop and disseminate high-impact scientific content in support of Sapient's scientific publication strategy.
