About The Position

The Center for Applied Digital Health and Optimization Methods is looking for a Senior Research Assistant to perform scientific investigative research in behavioral medicine involving digital health and/or optimization methods. This position will conduct research, support intervention according to established protocols, collect and organize data, produce basic reports, conduct literature search, and prepare manuscripts for submission. The primary purpose of the position is to provide assistance in implementation of research projects in the Center for Applied Digital Health and Optimization Methods. Under the general supervision of the Research Study Manager and the Principal Investigator, performs scientific investigative research in behavioral medicine involving digital health and/or optimization methods. Conducts research and supports intervention according to established protocols; collects and organizes data; produces basic reports. Conducts literature search and prepares manuscripts for submission. Interacts with research assistants and participants of research projects.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree: Psychology, Public Health, Nutrition, Exercise Physiology, or related
1 year of research experience
Professional integrity, including a thorough understanding of confidentiality, and Human Subjects Protection.
Communication and interpersonal skills sufficient for effective interactions with a broad range of individuals, including families.
Ability to use common office and database software.
Ability to multi-task and prioritize.
Ability to work independently or on a team.
Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without need now or in the future for sponsorship for employment-based visa status.

Responsibilities

Implements research protocols and methodology under intermittent supervision
Recruits and screens participants.
Orients participants to study procedures and obtains consent.
Collects, interprets, describes, and documents complex analytical and evaluative research data, particularly involving online and mobile technologies.
Delivers behavioral health interventions to participants with support.
Manages data and databases.
Generates reports such as participant flow through studies, participant demographics, and intervention adherence.
Trains graduate and undergraduate students on data collection and data management.
Prepares reports for IRB and data safety monitoring.
Writes standard operating procedures and intervention materials.
Prepares manuscripts for submission (e.g., formats manuscript per journal guidelines, inserts and formats references).
Conducts literature search and summarizes findings.
