Senior Reliability Engineer

Leidos•Huntsville, AL

About The Position

Leidos Defense is seeking a Senior Reliability Engineer to develop solutions for complex problems and support defense programs. The engineer may serve as a Lead Reliability, Availability, and Maintainability (RAM) Engineer on at least one major program, managing work for junior reliability engineers and interfacing with program leadership, customers, and line management. The role also supports RAM engineering across the Defense Sector and Leidos by responding to project manager requests, contributing to Basis of Estimation development for proposed RAM work, and helping shape the company’s reliability engineering approach through tool selection and team training. The position contributes to reliability artifacts and analyses, including reliability predictions, MTTR analyses, reliability block diagrams, reliability reports, statistics, FMEA, and FTA. The focus is on reliability prediction expertise; experience with production and sustainment activities such as Failure Reporting, Analysis, and Corrective Action Systems (FRACAS) is beneficial. The engineer works in a matrixed organization, supporting multiple programs across different engineering fields and team environments, and collaborates with RAM, systems, and specialty engineers.
