About The Position

The Recruiting Manager, PRN, serves as the primary point of contact for all new and existing clients. This role is responsible for recruiting, managing, and scheduling PRN (as-needed) ER and GP veterinarians. The ideal candidate brings a strong background in staffing and scheduling, excels in relationship-building, and thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Requirements

  • Proven ability to meet goals independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Minimum 5 years of staffing and scheduling experience, preferably within healthcare or veterinary services.
  • Strong organizational, leadership, and time management skills.
  • Comfortable and effective in making cold calls and conducting outreach via email.
  • Must work well collaboratively in a team setting.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-starter with a proactive, growth-oriented mindset.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience managing a PRN pool is highly preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred in Business, Marketing, Management, Communications, Public Relations, or Healthcare Administration.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, with a focus in Human Resources, Sales, or Business Development preferred.
  • Experience managing a full desk recruiting model (including sourcing, client management, and scheduling).
  • Familiarity with veterinary staffing or healthcare provider placement is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary contact for all new and existing clients.
  • Recruit ER and GP veterinarians for PRN assignments.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring satisfaction and ongoing collaboration.
  • Skill market and staff veterinarians appropriately, managing and updating their schedules.
  • Send introductory emails, maintain rapport with internal talent, and ensure accurate information is collected for proper placements.
  • Conduct regional research for each talent’s travel radius and note any facility exclusions.
  • Troubleshoot conflicts between talent and facilities with impartiality, advocating for talent when appropriate.
  • Provide regular communication and updates on shift requests and their status.
  • Request new shifts routinely and maintain a detailed spreadsheet of staffing needs to assist internal recruiters and ensure accurate talent placement.
  • Collaborate effectively as a team player, managing expectations and needs of both veterinarians and clients.
