About The Position

LAC Federal is seeking a Senior Records Manager and Administrative Support Specialist to provide senior-level administrative and records management support for the IRC program. This role involves maintaining records systems, filing structures, correspondence tracking, document control, and records retention activities.

Requirements

  • At least 10 total years of related work experience
  • At least 5 years of records management experience, including Freedom of Information Act information management
  • Experience in creating and implementing records management policies, procedures, and retention schedules
  • Experience evaluating program effectiveness and recommending improvements
  • Experience providing training and technical assistance to staff
  • Strong computer skills (database, word processing, and data entry skills)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Commitment to innovative and quality customer service
  • Physical ability to move large number of files and/or file boxes
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize work, and meet deadlines
  • Ability to identify and resolve complex problems
  • College degree required in business or information management and/or related certifications
  • Proficient in the use of commercial software packages and databases, such as Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Possess the ability to respond flexibly and to provide rapid assistance in a time-sensitive environment.
  • Possess strong organizational and customer service skills.
  • Must be a U. S. Citizen
  • Ability to obtain and retain a “SECRET” security clearance.
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, reach, and operate standard office equipment and computer systems for extended periods while managing records systems, performing data entry, maintaining documentation, and supporting administrative operations.
  • Ability to frequently lift, carry, transport, sort, and organize files, records, archival materials, and file boxes weighing up to 25–35 pounds as part of records management, inventory control, retrieval, and document retention activities.

Nice To Haves

  • Records Management training, or certificate, preferred
  • Experience with administrative services like office management, building and facilities management, human resources, and/or policies and procedures
  • Active clearance strongly preferred
  • Experience supporting DOS or civilian agencies preferred

Responsibilities

  • Maintain physical and electronic records systems
  • Perform records indexing, filing, retrieval, and disposition
  • Support records compliance and document tracking
  • Coordinate records requests and inventories
  • Maintain correspondence and archival files
  • Support audits and records reviews
  • Provide on-site technical support, troubleshooting issues with AV equipment during events
  • Manage multiple tasks, prioritize work, and meet deadlines
  • Identify and resolve complex problems
  • Respond flexibly and provide rapid assistance in a time-sensitive environment
  • Provide on-site operational and technical support in a fast-paced office environment, including setting up and troubleshooting audiovisual equipment during meetings or events, navigating file storage areas, and responding quickly to time-sensitive requests and operational needs.
