About The Position

At TDW, the Senior Quality Control Inspector helps ensure pipelines in the community operate safely and reliably. The role maintains and improves the non-conformance reporting (NCR) process, provides technical guidance to Production staff, and manages the day-to-day flow of NCRs so non-conforming parts are identified and contained in the material review board (MRB) area. The inspector partners with Operations to support timely resolution of non-conformances.

Requirements

Good knowledge of machine design, assembly, machining, drawings, and quality control activities.
Good knowledge of reading and understanding prints and technical documents.
Good organizational skills; flexibility; ability to remain effective under stress; and team spirit.
Rigorous, accurate, and reliable approach.

Nice To Haves

Experience in quality and manufacturing processes and documentation.
Experience with measurement tools.
Experience using multiple applications and computer systems.
Openness to learning technical tools such as a 3D arm, PMI, and an OES device.

Responsibilities

Document non-conformances and maintain the MRB area to support the NCR process.
Perform and record inspections in support of the quality department.
Ensure processes and procedures are followed.
Maintain traceability throughout assembly and maintenance of tools and equipment.
Confirm that documentation is properly maintained.
Establish non-conformity reports when necessary.
Maintain databases, reports, and files that support the quality control function.
Keep tools and instruments in conformity with ISO procedures and QA/QC recommendations.
Discuss process, equipment, and tool improvements with the Quality Manager.
Control products with non-conformities by placing them in the quarantine area.
Provide and archive technical data, including codes and standards, and records to support customer satisfaction.
Provide technical assistance to Manufacturing in defect detection, acceptance, and rejection.
