About The Position

The Senior Quality Control Inspector maintains and improves the non-conformance reporting (NCR) process and provides technical guidance to Production staff. This role manages the daily flow of NCRs, ensuring non-conforming parts are identified and contained in the Material Review Board (MRB) area, and partners with Operations to support timely resolution. The position also performs and records inspections, maintains traceability and documentation, and provides technical assistance to manufacturing on defect detection and product acceptance or rejection.

Requirements

Experience in quality and manufacturing processes and documentation is an asset.
Experience using measurement tools.
Experience using multiple applications and computer systems.
Good knowledge of machine design, assembly, machining, drawings, and QC activities.
Good knowledge of reading and understanding prints and technical documents.
Good organization skills; flexibility; ability to work under stress; and team spirit.
Rigorous, accurate, and reliable.

Openness to learning new technical tools such as a 3D arm, PMI, and an OES device.

Responsibilities

Support the NCR process by documenting non-conformances and maintaining the MRB area.
Support the Quality Department by performing and recording inspections.
Ensure processes and procedures are followed.
Maintain traceability throughout assembly and maintenance of tools and equipment, and ensure documentation is properly maintained.
Establish non-conformity reports when necessary.
Maintain databases, reports, and files that support the QC function.
Keep tools and instruments in conformity with ISO procedures and QA/QC recommendations.
Discuss and suggest improvements to processes, equipment, and tools with the Quality Manager.
Control products with non-conformities by placing them in the quarantine area.
Provide and archive technical data, including codes and standards, and records to increase customer satisfaction.
Provide technical assistance to Manufacturing, including defect detection and acceptance or rejection decisions.
