About The Position

ProSidian seeks a Senior Quality Control Engineer II | Quality Control (QC) for Program Support on an Exempt Basis for Working On-Site (Client Site) in The Southeast | South Atlantic | CONUS Area (Aiken, South Carolina). This is a Contract Contingent role, generally located across the Aiken, South Carolina area, supporting a High-hazard nuclear cleanup environment requiring disciplined staffing, safety, quality, security, and regulatory compliance. The role is aligned with the GSA Labor Category: Engineer / Scientist IV and is principally focused on ProSidian Strategic Resourcing and Professional Staff Augmentation for Quality Control (QC) Solutions and Services. We seek candidates with relevant Nuclear And Environmental Management Sector Experience to support professional services engagement for clients such as SRMC. This is a Contract Contingent or Contract W-2 (IRS-1099) Quality Control (QC) Functional Area / Swim Lane / Category Discipline Professional position, however, ProSidian reserves the right to convert to a Full-Time ProSidian employed W-2 Position. The role provides services and support aligned with the Quality Control (QC) Functional Area in the Nuclear And Environmental Management Industry Sector, focusing on Human Capital | Project Management | Engineering | Environmental | Compliance | Risk Management | IT Effectiveness | Business Process | Training Knowledge Management Solutions for clients such as Savannah River Mission Completion, LLC (SRMC) | SRMC Supply Chain / Procurement supporting the Liquid Waste Program. The position is generally located in Aiken, South Carolina and across the Southeast | South Atlantic | CONUS Region, working On-Site (Client Site). The role provides Quality Control (QC) Services and Solutions as a ProSidian Engagement Team Member, supporting quality control activities through planning, analysis, coordination, documentation, compliance, quality assurance, and stakeholder support. It involves verifying construction quality at the point of execution through disciplined inspection, surveillance, documentation, and issue resolution.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline (engineering or science) and 6+ years relevant work experience in Quality Assurance, Quality Control, or Engineering in the fields of operations, maintenance, construction or industrial manufacturing.
  • OR; Bachelor’s degree in a non-technical discipline and 7+ years relevant work experience as described above
  • OR; Associate's degree and 8+ years of relevant experience described above
  • OR; High School diploma or GED and 10+ years of relevant experience described above.
  • US Citizen
  • A two-year technical diploma will be considered equivalent to an associate's degree.
  • Certification with continuing technical training is required for performance of inspections and surveillance activities.
  • Specialized training may also be required to support certain technical areas
  • Primarily focused on Management and Financial Consulting, Acquisition and Grants Management Support, and Business Program and Project Management Services initiatives and aligned with Program Support activities Quality Control (QC) Functional Area Activities.

Responsibilities

  • Safety is a primary responsibility in each job performed. Obtain safety training, obey safety rules, and make safety an integral part of each task. Take necessary steps to stop work if continuing the activity is unsafe or will create and unsafe condition.
  • Directs personnel to implement quality requirements and to accurately status the results.
  • Reviews design output documents in accordance with approved procedures to establish inspection requirements in quality assurance procedures, construction plans, and/or work packages.
  • Coordinates with internal and external sources to resolve quality issues and provides status of the inspection/test activities to stakeholders for the work activity.
  • Reviews technical criteria, personnel qualifications and work sequence on work packages including the notation of hold points prior to performance of inspections.
  • Directs the quality inspection activities of subordinate QC Engineers and other inspection personnel as assigned.
  • Performs or leads the performance of inspection, witness, test and/or surveillance, and documents the results of the inspection activities.
  • Assists in resolution of complex codes, specifications and drawing interpretations.
  • Leads the performance of inspection, witness, test, and surveillance of the inspection activities, and ensures the results are documented.
  • Assesses the completeness of quality related activities and verification documentation prior to preparation of quality control releases for turnover.
  • Reviews suppliers or subcontractor's quality program for compliance to established procedures, attends mobilization meetings and monitors their activities for proper implementation.
  • Reviews suppliers and/or subcontractor's quality verification documentation for traceability and specification compliance.
  • Reviews, assesses and statuses subcontractor’s costs, manpower and materials.
  • Approves suppliers and/or subcontract invoices and application for payment prior to submission to procurement.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Provides quality control support to operations and Project teams for construction Projects.
  • Performs quality control inspection and surveillance activities in support of operations, Project and/or maintenance activities.
