The Quality Control Engineer supports the quality assurance and control activities required for the repair, replacement, reverse engineering, manufacture, and upgrade of fluid-film bearings and sealing products used in critical rotating equipment. This role supports 1st shift with an early start time (flexible, for example 6:00- 7:15am). This position reviews customer and engineering requirements, develops and executes inspection activities, evaluates product and process conformity, controls nonconforming material, and maintains accurate quality, calibration and traceability records. The Quality Control Engineer works closely with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, Customer Service, and customers to ensure work is completed in accordance with drawings, specifications, approved repair instructions, and Quality Management System requirements. The position also analyzes quality-performance data, supports root-cause investigations and corrective actions, and identifies opportunities to reduce defects, rework, customer risk, and cost of poor quality.
