About The Position

Optum is seeking a Senior Provider Enrollment Representative to join their team. This role is responsible for enrolling behavioral health providers with appropriate payers for associated entities. The position offers the flexibility to telecommute from anywhere within the U.S. and operates on a Monday-Friday schedule from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, adaptable to the employee's time zone. This is a performance-driven, fast-paced environment where accuracy is crucial, and the representative will be ensuring compliance with exacting standards such as NCQA, CMS, and state credentialing requirements.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • 3+ years of experience in end-to-end provider payer enrollment, including initiating, submitting, follow-up, and receiving approvals of at least 10-15 behavioral health provider payer enrollment applications to include government and commercial payers
  • Intermediate level of proficiency with MS Excel and Word
  • Access to a designated quiet workspace in your home (separated from non-workspace areas) with the ability to secure Protected Health Information (PHI)
  • Live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service

Responsibilities

  • Process provider applications and re-applications including initial mailing, review and loading into the database tracking system
  • Conduct audits and provide feedback to reduce errors and improve processes and performance
  • Act as a technical resource to others, demonstrating a deep understanding of their function
  • Solve complex problems independently and proactively identify new solutions
  • Act as a facilitator to resolve conflicts within the team
  • Participate as a key team member on project teams that extend beyond their immediate function
  • Submit 10 to 15 applications daily
  • Perform other duties as assigned
