Breaking Ground operates nearly 4,000 units of housing across New York City, along with housing in upstate New York and Connecticut. Supportive housing - affordable housing paired with services designed to help people maintain their homes for the long-term - is widely recognized as a proven and cost-effective solution to chronic homelessness. But we didn't stop at providing housing. Breaking Ground's programs and services help people experiencing street homelessness - especially those who have been on the streets the longest - to come indoors. Through our Street to Home outreach program and transitional housing resources, we help people get, and stay, on the path to a permanent home. Reporting the Director, Programs, Scatter Site, the Senior Property Coordinator assists with the oversight of property management aspects of the Scatter Site program. The Senior Property Coordinator tracks apartment conditions and the preparation of apartments for client occupancy, including managing furniture inventory and installation. The Senior Property Coordinator supervises Property Coordinators, ensures tracking and completion of work orders, manages the execution and completion of maintenance issues including relationship with vendors and maintenance providers, and oversees client intake and assessments. The Senior Property Coordinator collaborates with clinical staff to ensure that Scatter Site clients have the necessary support services to remain permanently housed. The Senior Property Coordinator works primarily during business hours Monday-Friday, with off hours availability in case of emergency.
