Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • Property/Casualty License Required
  • Maintain Agent/Broker License through continuing education
  • Earn or maintain CISR Designation
  • 5 years Insurance Experience Required
  • Experience working on accounts in Construction and/or Real Estate
  • Working knowledge of Agency Management Systems
  • Ability to use menu-driven software in addition to Microsoft office to include Outlook, Word and Excel programs
  • Knowledge of Acord forms
  • Self-motivated, ability to work independently and within a team
  • Good organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
  • Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • An interest in meeting new people and relationship management skills
  • Display trustworthiness, integrity, sincerity and discretion
  • Good customer service skills
  • A results-driven approach to meet core responsibilities and deadlines
  • Attention to detail and accurate record keeping
  • The ability to develop and deliver innovative ideas
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and clean motor vehicle record
  • All applicants must be 18 years of age or older.

  • Experience in the Applied Epic system is a plus but not required

Responsibilities

  • Manages a book of assigned Commercial Lines accounts.
  • Markets new and existing clients to prospective carriers to obtain competitive coverage and premiums.
  • Provides service to commercial clients and maintains a high retention of customers.
  • Responsible for detailed coverage analysis as well as consultation and coverage recommendations to clients.
  • Builds long-term relationships with clients.
  • Plays a central role in introducing new insurance products.
  • Maintains the suitability of existing insurance programs.
  • Develops and maintains good working relationships with clients.
  • Introduces and promotes new products through communication with clients.
  • Increases the profitability of existing product lines by encouraging clients to use added-value services wherever possible.
  • Consults on the most effective coverage for a particular need.
  • Delivers good customer service by responding swiftly to queries and concerns from clients.
  • Communicates with colleagues & carrier representatives to maintain knowledge of new and existing products and online quoting platforms.
  • Prepares complete and accurate submissions to insurance carriers including narrative & loss analysis.
  • Follows-up with Insurance Carriers to ensure they have adequate information to deliver a timely quote.
  • Works with producers to obtain additional information from clients required for Insurance Carriers offering quotes.
  • Checks quotes against Agency Management System for accuracy of coverage.
  • Reviews, updates, and inputs quoted data into company proposals.
  • Binds coverage and updates Agency Management System to reflect issuance instructions.
  • Works within team, other departments and with Producer or Account Executive to discuss the execution of strategies.
  • Participates in meetings with Carriers to obtain knowledge of markets.
  • Ensures compliance with procedures of OneGroup by keeping up to date with all changes.
  • Negotiates with underwriters to amend policies where necessary in order to meet client demand.
  • Participates in seminars and training for skill and knowledge development.
  • Performs other duties as required.
