About The Position

We are seeking a Senior Project Planner to join our Minerals & Metals team in Henderson, NV. Your role will involve developing schedules in Primavera P6 for all stages of the project, leading the development and maintenance of project schedules in collaboration with project managers, construction managers, and input from engineering, procurement, subcontractors, and clients. You will provide technical support to ensure client satisfaction with the project schedule, prepare reports for operations teams and management on scheduling activities, and correlate schedules, costs, and risk assessments through integrated solutions to influence critical path analysis. The role also includes providing recommendations for corrective actions due to project delays, working with client staff and subcontractors to develop and status their project components' schedules, and ensuring project schedule activities are coded by the project work breakdown structure for cost/schedule integration and analysis. You will define and optimize critical paths, perform total float analysis, notify project management of critical activities and schedule risks, and conduct recovery plans, contingency planning, and schedule compression techniques. Support will be provided for monitoring contract actual progress versus planned progress and key performance indicators, including exception reporting and recommending actions. The role involves producing consolidated progress reports and surveys with bar charts, S-curves, and manpower histograms, supporting the development of project cost expenditure forecast curves, and performing schedule risk surveys. Additionally, you will seek innovation in scheduling and execution plans to improve project economics, develop construction field installation work packages (FIWPs) schedules based on level 4 and integration with engineering/procurement work packages, and maintain liaison with the project team regarding scheduling activities and priorities. Attendance at project team and subcontractors’ meetings is also required.

Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree, preferrable in Engineering.
Minimum 10 years of related work experience.
Construction project planning expertise gained across a range of large, complex, multi-disciplinary projects, with a sound understanding of project management principles and application.
Advanced skills with Primavera P6, Microsoft Project.
Basic Knowledge in Power BI (Can generate simple report)
Relevant experience with mining and metallurgy projects.
Proficiency in English (spoken and written).
Excellent time management skills.
Proactive, detailed oriented and have a good knowledge of planning techniques.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to develop relationships with client, subcontractors and staff at all levels.

Responsibilities

Develop schedules in Primavera P6 for all stages of the project.
Lead in developing and maintaining the project schedule(s) with collaboration from project managers/construction managers and inputs from engineering, procurement, subcontractors & client.
Provide technical support to ensure that the project schedule is maintained to client’s satisfaction.
Prepare reports for operations team and management regarding project scheduling activities.
Correlate schedules, cost and risk assessments through integrated solutions to influence critical path analysis thus providing robust/quality plans for decision making.
Provide recommendations for corrective action due to delays in certain aspects of the project.
Work with client staff and sub-contractors to develop and status schedules for their project components.
Ensure project schedule activities are coded by the project work breakdown structure for cost / schedule integration and analysis.
