About The Position

As a Senior Project Manager in the newly created Commercial Banking Project Management Office (PMO), you will play a critical role in shaping business solutions and driving project success. You will work as part of a collaborative team that is a catalyst for delivering transformation initiatives, accelerating value creation, and infusing Agile ways of working that drive continuous improvement. As a Senior Project Manager, you will drive RBC’s most complex initiatives, aligning them with platform goals and strategic priorities. You will develop program roadmaps, coordinate cross-functional teams, and engage stakeholders to define scope, prioritize tasks, and ensure clear communication. Your role includes implementing risk management strategies, fostering proactive problem-solving, and advancing business agility through continuous improvement. You will also analyze performance metrics and apply lessons learned to optimize future planning and value delivery. This is a hybrid role with 4 days in the office.

Requirements

5 to 7 years of project management work experience, including leading large-scale, complex cross-functional projects in banking or financial services.
Demonstrated agile delivery experience, including setting up agile squads, influencing ways of working, and establishing effective routines
Solid business acumen sufficient to understand strategic business priorities and align project delivery
Strong stakeholder and relationship management skills, with a focus on influencing outcomes and building partnerships with senior leaders and vendors
Excellent communication and facilitation skills, including tailoring messages, delivering presentations, and leading discussions for senior audiences
Advanced planning expertise, with experience creating and maintaining integrated project schedules, roadmaps, and status reports
Experience in measuring initiative value by setting and monitoring objectives and key results aligned with business goals
Experience in project financial management, including budget planning, forecasting, cost-benefit analysis, and vendor invoicing
Proficient in risk and issue management, including conducting assessments, developing mitigation strategies, and ensuring transparent reporting

Certified Scrum Master (CSM) Designation and/or Project Management Professional/Program Management Professional (PMP/PgMP) Designation
