About The Position

The Finance IT team is currently undertaking the implementation of technology solutions to support CFO Modernization initiatives as part of RBC's ongoing plan to improve technology management and operational excellence across the organization. In this role, you will be responsible for strategically planning and managing the successful implementation of technology projects and workstreams. As Senior Project Manager, you will lead the delivery of Finance & Audit IT's Strategic Sub-Ledger solution for Wealth Management Europe. The role will coordinate, develop, lead, communicate, and execute activities to ensure objectives are accomplished on time while maintaining the highest standards of quality and stakeholder engagement. You'll work with modern project management tools and collaborate across diverse teams to drive meaningful change.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree coupled with demonstrated experience running technology programs with high frequency of requests and multiple priorities
  • Proficiency in project management tools including JIRA for task management, Confluence for documentation, Excel for data analysis and reporting, Powerpoint for working group meetings and other industry-standard PM software
  • Demonstrated ability in written and oral communication skills along with strong presentation skills.
  • Ability to determine the information and communication needs of technical and business stakeholders
  • Strong organizational, project management and time management capabilities with experience in agile, waterfall and hybrid methodologies

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge and experience in Sub-Ledger and General-Ledger technology
  • Experience in a matrix environment, such as a large, publicly-traded financial services corporation
  • PMP, Agile, or other relevant project management certifications
  • Strategic thinker with excellent interpersonal skills to work across technical functions and business units

Responsibilities

  • Lead activities on planning, delivery, and implementation to ensure enterprise-wide strategic goals and objectives are accomplished within approved time frames, scope, and budget.
  • Lead team & liaise with RBC business and service partners, including external third-party vendors.
  • Evaluate and provide guidance during the general and detailed planning stages of the large-scale Wealth Management Europe Strategic-Sub-Ledger initiative, developing strategies to ensure all workstreams are cohesive and in line with organizational goals.
  • Support the design and monitoring of the initiative’s goals, translating the vision into scope, design, and executables.
  • Create clarity out of ambiguity and quickly focuses the effort on the most value.
  • Provide superior client experience and strengthens relationship within team.
  • Establishes, develops, and maintains strong relationships with RBC business, CFO, and T&O partners.
  • Seek input and prepares project plans, and/or implementation plans aligned with stakeholders’ direction.
