About The Position

Leopardo Construction is seeking a Senior Project Manager with experience in healthcare construction, specifically medical office buildings, to join their Orlando team. This role involves overseeing the administration, execution, and completion of complex and large-scale projects, including project development, organization, scheduling, budgeting, and implementation. The Senior Project Manager will also monitor productivity and profitability, manage inter-team communication, resolve conflicts, and foster client and architect/engineer relationships.

Requirements

  • 10+ years in a progressively responsible role with extensive estimating experience and an understanding of the business side of construction.
  • Experience working on healthcare construction projects (medical office building or renovation preferred).
  • Bachelor’s degree in construction, engineering, or architecture related fields or equivalent training and related experience.
  • Proven record of success on large and/or complex projects.
  • Deep understanding of each phase of the construction process, including architectural design and blueprinting, and knowledge of the market/industry.
  • Significant training and experience with cutting-edge technology, processes, and procedures that produce accurate, efficient results.
  • Valid driver’s license.

  • OSHA 30 Hour certification is a plus.
  • LEED GA accreditation is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Support preconstruction efforts, including budget and estimate preparation, value design suggestions, and bid evaluation.
  • Solicit, qualify, review, and evaluate bids from subcontractors.
  • Prepare and incorporate general conditions work into the overall budget.
  • Coordinate permit applications for review and approval.
  • Coordinate with leadership to establish and monitor project goals and prepare projections.
  • Negotiate, award, and write subcontracts in collaboration with leadership.
  • Manage subcontractor risk mitigation.
  • Develop and maintain a detailed schedule, including preconstruction activities, critical path, owner move-in, inspections, and punch lists.
  • Prepare comprehensive cost estimates.
  • Review job costs, billings, and pencil draws for pay applications.
  • Review and approve invoices for goods purchased directly by Leopardo for general conditions work.
  • Manage shop drawing/submittal schedule, requests for information (RFIs), and change order processes.
  • Coordinate and conduct required meetings.
  • Ensure required inspections are performed and enforce quality control and safety procedures.
  • Review closeout documentation, job costs, billings, and pencil draws.
  • Build and nurture relationships with clients, owners, architects, developers, and subcontractors.
  • Actively promote Leopardo and network within the industry.
  • Assist in recruiting and training efforts.
  • Advise project teams, which may include Superintendents, Project Managers, Project Assistants, Project Accountants, Project Engineers, and/or Interns.
