About The Position

As a Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for project delivery, profit & loss accountability, and customer satisfaction through the management of project-related activities and resources for related customer equipment, facilities, or infrastructure projects. This role impacts approaches, projects, and programs in the functional area or affected business organization, influencing ways of working and the quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of your team. You will have significant input into priorities and be guided by professional practices and policies shaped by the role. The position offers moderate autonomy, requiring a high degree of operational judgment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 10 years of experience in Job Family /Function(s)).
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in Power Generation/Product Knowledge.

  • Strong communication, interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems with the ability to lead programs / projects post delivery with strong warranty expertise.
  • Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
  • Established SME in Gas & Steam Turbine project management.

Responsibilities

  • Overseeing projects and providing direct or indirect leadership and/or management of project resources for small-medium sized projects (in relation to GE company size) that may include equipment-only, suites of products, or non-turnkey projects.
  • Developing specialized knowledge in their discipline and serving as a best practice/quality resource.
  • Contributing towards strategy and policy development, and ensuring delivery within the area of responsibility.
  • Using judgment to make decisions or solve moderately complex tasks or problems in areas of operational/product management, manufacturing, technology, or engineering.
  • Taking a new perspective on existing solutions and using technical experience and expertise for data analysis to support recommendations.
  • Acting as a resource for colleagues with less experience.
  • Potentially leading small projects with moderate risks and resource requirements.
  • Explaining difficult or sensitive information and working to build consensus.
  • Developing persuasion skills required to influence others on topics within the field.
