Senior Project Manager

SleeperSan Francisco, CA

About The Position

We’re looking for a Senior Project Manager to be the connective tissue across engineering, design, and growth as we scale the platform behind tens of millions of passionate sports fans. This is Sleeper’s first dedicated project management hire. You’ll hold the full context of every project you run, drive accountability against deadlines, and keep cross-functional work moving. You’ll be the person who makes sure design has the specs, engineering has what they need to ship, and growth knows what’s launching and when. You’ll work closely with leadership across the company and have the latitude to shape how project management functions at Sleeper from the ground up.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of project, program, or delivery management experience, with a track record of running multiple complex programs simultaneously at fast-moving consumer tech, gaming, or fintech companies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills—you can translate between engineers, designers, and business stakeholders without losing nuance.
  • Highly organized with a track record of running multiple concurrent projects without dropping the ball.
  • Comfortable working with engineers—you can earn their respect, push back when scope or timelines feel off, and stay collaborative even under pressure.
  • Technically fluent enough to read a PRD, ask the right questions about technical tradeoffs, and use tools like Claude Code or Codex day-to-day.
  • You actively look for ways to automate the boring parts of your job and have an opinion on how AI tools make project management more leveraged.

Nice To Haves

  • Passion for sports, gaming, or building consumer products at scale.

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end execution across multiple concurrent projects—partnering with engineering, design, and growth from kickoff through launch.
  • Hold the full context of every project you run, tracking scope, dependencies, blockers, and timelines across teams.
  • Lead working sessions and standups, drive accountability against deadlines, and surface risk early through clear written communication.
  • Contribute to specs and project documentation alongside engineering and design, ensuring scope is well-defined and decisions are recorded.
  • Coordinate cross-functional rollouts so growth, design, and engineering are aligned on what’s shipping and when.
  • Build leverage through AI tooling—automate the routine parts of your workflow so you can scale your impact.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary ($135,000–$175,000/year not inclusive of stock options and benefits)
  • Equity
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • 401(k) with company matching
  • Generous PTO and hybrid work policy (San Francisco)
  • Opportunities for fast career growth in a high-impact role
