About The Position

Dewberry is seeking a Senior Project Manager – Water/Wastewater to join our Jacksonville FL office. This role centers on leading municipal water and waste water engineering efforts and serving as the primary technical expert/ senior project manager for a diverse portfolio of projects across Florida. The ideal candidate has experience with municipal water and wastewater projects and a broad understanding of various design aspects. In this position, the engineer collaborates within a multidisciplinary team and plays a key role in directing technical efforts, including performing calculations, contributing to modeling, preparing technical proposals and reports, conducting research and pilot studies, providing QA/QC, and mentoring junior engineers and designers. Requirements

  • B.S. Degree in Environmental, Mechanical, Civil, or Chemical Engineering.
  • 15+ years experience with progressive responsibilities for public sector water and wastewater projects.
  • FL PE required.
  • Experience with AutoCAD and Microsoft office is required.
  • Familiar with Modeling and GIS software.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients, coworkers, sub consultants, and county/agency review staff.

Nice To Haves

  • M.S. degree in Environmental Engineering (preferred).
  • Water/Wastewater infrastructure experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with developing and managing water/wastewater projects with a collection, and distribution systems.
  • Work includes the development of studies, design and construction observation for treatment plants, collection systems, and distribution systems; including, but not limited to, process evaluations and troubleshooting, feasibility studies, bench scale and pilot scale studies, master planning, design, plant operation, and regulatory negotiation/permitting.
  • Work with design team across multiple offices and multiple disciplines to generate detailed design documents for construction plans.
  • Meet client deadlines and project budgets.
