About The Position

Langan is seeking a Senior Project Manager to join its collaborative civil engineering team in Indianapolis, Indiana. The role leads and supports design, permitting, and client management and development for a variety of land development projects, partnering cross-functionally with industry leadership. Projects include residential, institutional, commercial, warehouse distribution, and mixed-use developments for public and private clients. The position also contributes to office growth planning, staff utilization, business development, and client relationship management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• At least 10 years of successful, local, related site/civil engineering experience, with a concentration in land development on both small and large projects.
• Professional Engineering license.
• Site/civil experience across varied project sites, including design and oversight of site layout, grading, drainage, infrastructure, and erosion and sediment control from concept through completion.
• Strong client development and client management abilities.
• Active participation in professional organizations.
• Experience in technical and proposal writing.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent analytical, multitasking, and judgment capabilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively independently and in a team environment.
• Reliable transportation for client meetings and job site visits, and a valid driver’s license in good standing.

Nice To Haves

• Proficiency in AutoCAD or Civil 3D.

Responsibilities

• Design and permit residential, institutional, commercial center, warehouse distribution center, and mixed-use projects for public and private clients.
• Work with office leadership to develop growth plans and ensure staff utilization.
• Develop new clients and maintain relationships with existing clients through business development activities.
• Lead site/civil efforts, including site layout, grading, drainage, infrastructure, and erosion and sediment control, from concept through completion.
• Lead stormwater management design, hydrologic and hydraulic analysis and design, and SWPPP preparation.
• Apply land development engineering expertise, including integration of geotechnical and environmental engineering.
• Perform other duties as requested.
