About The Position

Skanska is searching for a dynamic Senior Project Manager to join their team. This role is part of Skanska Integrated Solutions (SIS), an in-house group providing construction project management consulting services. SIS functions as an “extension of staff” and a trusted advisor to clients, leveraging Skanska’s construction and project delivery expertise. The Senior Project Manager will act as the Owner’s Agent, responsible for supervising project management and construction management teams throughout all project phases, from studies and programming to closeout. This leadership role involves managing the entire project lifecycle, mentoring staff, overseeing project management processes, facilitating stakeholder communications, and resolving conflicts to ensure project goals are met.

Requirements

  • 10+ Years experience in a Project Management role managing commercial and public sector projects of buildings ranging in costs of $20 Million to $200 Million.
  • Managing projects from initiation through completion of construction, and responsible for leading meetings with owner, architects and as well as providing leadership role in client relations, directing and mentoring on-site staff.
  • 5+ years working with a preconstruction team to plan projects for success (e.g., procurement, logistics planning, scope reviews, budgeting, value engineering and costing).
  • 3+ years experience managing the design process and relationships between design and construction to ensure the designer delivers quality, budget-conscious, and complete documents on schedule.
  • 10+ years of experience reading and understanding construction plans, drawings and technical specifications, and the implementation of project delivery strategies in a Project Work Plan.
  • Demonstrated ability to target and pursue additional business with existing clients, and develop new business opportunities.
  • Bachelor’s Degree – Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or equivalent and 10 years of industry experience, /or equivalent industry experience of 20 years.

Responsibilities

  • Supervising project management and construction management teams in all project phases, including studies, programming and planning, preconstruction services, design, procurements, construction, and closeout.
  • Acting as the team leader responsible from initiation through completion of construction.
  • Mentoring staff, overseeing project management processes and methods.
  • Managing stakeholder communications, coordination, and conflict resolution to ensure project goals are consistently met.
