About The Position

This Senior Project Manager is responsible for mentoring, training, coaching, and developing Field Project Managers. The Manager may also manage their own projects, providing an opportunity for less experienced FPMs to shadow them. They will host weekly check-ins with junior FPMs and attend all pre-order meetings hosted by their team. Additionally, the Senior Project Manager will host bi-weekly check-in meetings with the entire office team, including Project Coordinators, Project Engineers, Compliance personnel, install, and warehousing, to review active projects. This role involves working with the VP of Construction to update practices, policies, and procedures, and assisting in implementing new technology and software. Travel is a required component of this position.

Requirements

  • College degree combined with 1-3 years of experience as a field project manager in the foodservice equipment installation industry or similar construction industry
  • Ability to clearly read and comprehend floor plans, equipment manuals, schematics, and complex instructions
  • Understanding of local, state, and federal construction regulations
  • Must be able to work in office and construction field environments
  • Possess organizational skills including time management, delegation, prioritization and multitasking, self-starter and able to follow through on duties and assignment with minimal supervision
  • Valid driver’s license in state which applying for position

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in project management with a proven history of success in foodservice equipment industry
  • Excellent proficiency with Microsoft 365
  • Experience working with Auto Quotes, One Note, Blue Beam, Plan Grid, Smart sheets, and SAP

Responsibilities

  • Mentoring, training, coaching and developing the Field Project Managers
  • Managing their own projects
  • Hosting weekly check-ins with their team junior FPMs
  • Attending all pre-order meetings hosted by their junior FPM’s and or their team
  • Hosting bi-weekly check in meetings with the whole team from that office including but not limited to PCs, PE’s, Compliance personnel, install, warehousing to review the active projects current “look ahead”
  • Working in conjunction with the VP of Construction in updating practices, policies and procedures
  • Assisting in implementing new tech and software
  • Overseeing and managing projects from start to completion
  • Ensuring all projects are recorded and managed according to specifications
  • Selecting and managing all subcontractors performing work under contract
  • Coordinating interfacing work with associated trades
  • Requesting schedule/critical time path from client and contractors
  • Reviewing plans and documents creating pinklines, RFIs and internal questions for the project team in preparation for the pre-order meeting
  • Scheduling pre-order meetings, inclusive of CSR, estimator, project coordinator and Drafter (If applicable)
  • Notifying estimating, installation and delivery of project date changes after PO’s are issued
  • Performing field verifications involving mechanical, electrical, and plumbing to MEPs, Hoods/ Demand Aire/ MUA Walk-In: D. Stainless Fabrication, Sneezeguards, and Millwork where applicable
  • Ensuring all drawings and cut sheets are up to date in system (One Note & Plangrid) and shared with install team
  • Coordinating timing, receiving protocol, and customer representative on site to sign for each delivery
  • Ensuring scope completion, punch list and quality control
  • Notifying the project team when health final inspection passes to trigger reconcile project
  • Being responsible for the financial and timely success of projects
  • Training requires Multiple field visits to job sites as needed
  • Training PMs in the art of RFIs- Writing Request for Information (RFI)
  • Teaching and using Plangrid, Bluebeam, One Note and Smartsheets
  • Using correct grammar and sentence structures in communications with clients and team members
  • Regulating PM’s attendance as required for site coordination meetings on all projects
  • Managing Attendance required- internal team meetings bi-weekly
  • Managing Attendance in manager check-ins as required and requested by managers
  • All other duties as assigned
