About The Position

Venture Global LNG (“Venture Global”) is a long-term, low-cost provider of American-produced liquefied natural gas. The company’s Louisiana-based export projects service the global demand for North American natural gas and support the long-term development of clean and reliable North American energy supplies. Using reliable, proven technology in an innovative plant design configuration, Venture Global’s modular, mid-scale plant design will replace traditional designs as it allows for the same efficiency and operational reliability at significantly lower capital cost. We are seeking qualified applicants for the position of Senior Project Manager. This person has overall responsibility to manage the manufacturing and fabrication life cycle by driving value and efficiency, while ensuring operational integrity. This role supports the management needs for a specific project and will administer the contractual agreements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or other applicable business degrees
  • Strong analytical, leadership, negotiation, and communication skills
  • A minimum of 10 years in rotating equipment and/or gas turbine manufacturing
  • Natural gas equipment and execution technical knowledge
  • Demonstrated procurement / commercial functional expertise
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Schedule review and analysis experience
  • Demonstrated analytical skills / understanding of total system cost concept
  • Effective negotiation, advocacy and influencing skills
  • Category specific knowledge including: Pipeline compressor manufacturing and installation, Gas turbine manufacturing and installation, Capital Projects Equipment & Materials (valves, turbines, etc.), Fuels and Lubes (base stocks, marketing, etc.), Professional & Technical Labor (temporary, consultants, etc.), Transportation & Logistics (trucking, warehousing, rail, marine, etc.)

Responsibilities

  • Senior Project Manager for large rotating equipment delivery
  • Administer all commercial agreements to achieve contractual performance
  • Manage engineering interfaces between supplier and EPC
  • Drive supplier execution and schedule
  • Provide detailed quality and safety oversight
  • Generate executive progress and cost reports
  • Provide schedule evaluation and cost control
  • Oversee change management process
  • Manage relationships with suppliers
  • Provide installation and commissioning support and troubleshooting
