About The Position

Provide HHS Program Support Center (PSC) with project management, space assignments and construction/alterations projects throughout the country and in over 5 million rentable square feet of commercial administrative space through the use of highly specialized CAD information services.

Requirements

  • The Senior PM shall have a minimum of 15 years of experience large scale real estate/facilities projects, managing federal construction and facilities programs. This includes experience related to project management, space planning, facilities program oversight and implementation of facilities policy to ensure compliance with law, regulation, and Executive Order.
  • The Senior PM shall be a Project Management Institute (PMI) certified Project Management Professional (PMP).
  • The Senior PM shall provide 40 hours of service per week.
  • Microsoft Office suite experience
  • Knowledge of the principles, methods, practices, and techniques of written and verbal communication.
  • Skill in communication techniques to gather and disseminate information and communicate problems and results.
  • The ability to work well with others and manage multiple tasks, with good organizational skills.
  • The ability to process contacts with internal and external constituents with diplomacy and tact, in a professional, courteous, and helpful manner.
  • Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal

Responsibilities

  • Once requested, conduct meetings with clients to assess their needs and discuss project funding options.
  • Document project site survey, telecom, electrical, reflective ceiling, base-building dimensions.
  • Coordinate with project consultants to develop schematic space plans and conceptual furniture layouts, review consultant proposals.
  • Develop a project plan Scope of Work (SOW) and construction estimate to meet the project requirements.
  • Maintain regular communication with client and stakeholders to advise the status of each project.
  • Identify risks along with a recommended course of action to mitigate those risks.
  • Follow up on all open items within the project plan that impact schedule.
  • Coordinate telecom/IT requirements for project.
  • Review general contractor’s proposals for acceptance, independently or in consultation with GSA and other stakeholders.
  • Be available to coordinate all furniture installations, internal furniture moves and service coordination, as required.
  • Oversee project construction progress, conducting progress meetings as required and develop project punch list.
  • Coordinate access to the facility and space through building security and related applicable policies.
  • Manage and track project funding.
  • Perform project audits and inspections as requested.
  • Maintain accurate project files in accordance with local policies and procedures.
  • Comply with local governance templates, standards, and processes.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned
