About The Position

Turner & Townsend is seeking a Network Owners Rep / Senior Project Manager to work with our Data Center team to support a key client’s retrofit/upgrade program. To be successful in this position you must have great communication skills and be comfortable operating in a client-facing role. On-site presence is required (Monday to Friday). Requirements may change depending on our client's needs.

Requirements

5+ years’ experience working in a Data Center Network construction delivery role.
Business and technical knowledge of networking (Hyperscale preferred).
Relevant qualifications e.g Construction Management degree, or BICSI.
Good knowledge of construction industry technical matters, such as different procurement routes, value management and value engineering.
Valid US passport with no visa restrictions.
Great communication skills.
Comfortable operating in a client-facing role.

Responsibilities

Provide (campus level) liaison to network infrastructure/security-related Owner team’s and end-to-end ownership of all network project deliverables.
Manage communications between Owner and Networking Contractors.
Set and manage timelines.
Coordinate vendor training.
Conduct construction progress reviews via weekly site walks.
Conduct construction quality reviews via weekly site walks.
Perform field safety walks and ensure EH&S compliance.
Capture owner's needs and expectations, gaining and maintaining stakeholder support, mitigating/channeling opposition.
Facilitate structured fiber kickoffs.
Review BPR/SR, define priority panels for both OSP and ISP fiber.
Review schedules to ensure milestones on checklist are adhered to as well as ensuring structured fiber is complete according to schedules of ancillary systems that require connectivity.
Develop scope and manage RFP issuance.
Review materials list and coordinate purchase with project teams for owner-directed procurement.
Understand needs for server floor cabling and manage delivery via Network contractors.
